Just something a little different...
An acquaintance of mine owns an original Chris Craft from the 1950's (?) which he restored from a barn-find.
He re-varnishes it every couple years since the complete restore. He usually does the work himself, but this year I did a most of it.
We "Block sanded" the hull with 400 grit wet paper, then used bronze-wool to scuff the surface before varnishing with a brush.
Put a coat of varnish on last week, and he wants another coat on after Christmas to "build-up" some layers.
Kind of a "fun" project.
*Sanded, primed and painted the trailer also this this month, so it looks a little better- it was very rusty (used same colors as it was before).
**Also touched-up bottom with a real Copper paint
