I will probably have a lot of questions on this, but I have a 1959 14ft Lund runabout that I aquired last fall very cheaply. l know that a free boat is never cheap, but she floats, and does not leak, I have had it out with the troller a couple of times. I have a Evinrude tracker 9.9 outboard for it, and need to change the steering and get an ignition switch that will mate to the harness of this thing. I hope to have it running next spring so I can use it to troll for walleye and northerns. Ideas and advise are welcomed. Thanks

Cool old boat! I don't know much about that type boat but there are many what I would call "experts" here in this forum. I'm sure several will jump in here. Good luck with your boat!

Niffty old 50's Lund! They sure didn't change their hull designs much over the years. Terrific find. Sure that 9.9 is going to be enough to reliably push it? I think a late 50's 18hp Evinrude would look sweet on it.

I'm liking what I see here, Lunds are my favorite boat. I bet it's rated to run at least a 40-50 hp , yes?
I have a pair of 57 35 Johnson's that would really scoot that baby along!

She would make a great cruiser too, I bet a motor upgrade to a 35 hp Etec would do wonderful things for the old gal. very nice :thumb:

Nice looking boat gunfighter. I have not seen many of the older Lund's around. Yours looks very similar to my '61 Lund.
