DEAR GOD!!!
I polished and polished, and polished, and.... ok, you get the picture. I was about to just go ahead and ad a coat of gel coat, or epoxy paint.
High speed compound and polishing just wasn't making a dent in this horrible oxidation.
So, I got destructive.
I broke out the sandpaper. I have discovered I can just sand a 1-2mils off, and go from there. I had some 600gr wet sandpaper on hand, and got a half decent restoration, then high speed polished. The color is finally coming back.
So, to do this right, I ordered 400, 800, 1500, and 2000gr waterproof sandpaper, and I going to do the whole boat one section at a time.
