Alright so I got this old boat for free a few years ago and I started restoring it but I've been hearing bad stuff about the engine it's a old 3 cylinder 1978 mercury thunderbolt. It's missing a cycling it but I think I got it figured out why. I just kinda wanted to know if anyone knows if these are bad engines. Should I get something else once I fix it? And if so do I need a whole new hydraulic system for a different engine and any tips for the interior restoring would be great. So far I've replace the plywood on the floor and new carpet, new anchor system fixed the hydraulics.
