I am in the process of rebuilding the sole of my glass bass boat and after ALOT of grinding and rotten core removal have progressed to the replacement of the Balsa core. My question is: is there any advantage to using duraglas or a similar product as opposed to using a USC 435 peanut butter mix (w/chopped strand added) for fairing in the different sections of core, before I glass the top layers of CSM and 1708? I am guessing it would be possibly heavier and more $. has anyone done this and are there any recommendations-
