I'm pretty new to this boating game, and I have what may be a very basic question. I'm in the early stages of putting an old Arrow Glass back together, and I'm stumped. I'm going to mount a 40hp Evinrude, and I'm working through all the connections before I actually start the work. The boat has an old stick steer system, with a single cable that runs back to the transom. I am missing the mount that holds the cable to the transom, and here's my dumb question. Is that considered part of the motor or part of the boat? Where would I find a mounting bracket that would work? Thanks in advance, you guys are awesome!
