damaged gelcoat

Hi everyone

i have noticed my gellcoat is damaged on the bottom of my boat, it has gone down to to fibreglass, what i am asking is will this leak and does it need repairing immediately.

the damage is at the leading edge of the hull probably damaged in a rough docking, it is about 4 inches long on the point of the hull

boat is maxum 2100 sc 1998
