I just picked up an Alumacraft Flying D. Was told it is a 1958.
I really like the boat and would like to fix her up over the next couple of years, and enjoy her in the meantime.
I started this Journey with a 58 Larson Thunderhawk Jr., which sold to a man in the UK, and added a 60 Larson All-American, which I will also sell this summer.
I have converted to aluminum and am excited about it.

The boat seems to be in pretty decent shape, though a number of poorly done patches on the underside, and looks promising. It is set up with a 1958? Johnson 35HP.

What it is missing that I can tell of, would be the hardware and a windshield.

I am curious if anyone could share some things that I should be aware of with this boat and if any info could be shared as far as how to stumble upon a windshield..

I have searched and read a number of threads on the Flying D and am real excited to see this boat come to life!

Thanks for the time and consideration.
