Fuel Tank Venting

I'm getting a new aluminum tank made and the manufacturer is is installing the vent hose connection at the rear of the tank and then inside the tank is running a pipe to the front of the tank for better venting and for more clearance between the floor and the tank. Has anyone heard of this being done or causing issues?

The vent in the front, helps with fuelin' up,...
