So i picked up a 220v on craigslist a month ago. Was hoping to run this summer before restoring. One failed test run and a visit to the i boats forums and i now have a gutted hull with a 1993 175 hp black max on a engine lift. All the major foam has been removed (est 1000 lb) that sucked. Transom has carpenter ant colony in it. looks to be about 5 coats of bottom paint. Aluminum tank has holes and gas lines were shot. Yet some how I am excited about the boat.

so here goes with the questions.

has anyone used super alloy 5 to braze with (have 8 hole from fish finders being mounted and patched with silicone and at least one pea sized corrosion that needs to be addressed)

where can i find and what are the proper solid rivets

is it ok to laminate 2 sheets of 3/4 together for transom

wtf did i get my self into

#1 - You know we need pics or you're pulling our leg.

#2 - Not that I know of, but there are a few different ways to patch the FF hole and provide a way of mounting without making new holes.

#3 - I don't remember, but some one will be along shortly.

#4 - That's the only way.

#5 - A whole lot of fun when you finish. :D
