Hi,
I'm replacing the deck wood of my 1992 Bayliner Capri. I first want to say that the forums here have given me the confidence needed to take this project on myself. There is a wealth of knowledge here. Thanks for all that you do here.

I have a couple questions that you may be able to help me with.
If you look at the attached picture (sorry for my sons photo bomb, lol), I have removed the seat base on the starboard side. I also removed the foam as well.
You may notice that there is no foam down the center. There was none there when I took the deck off.
  1. When I replace the wood do you recommend that I put pour foam down the center? All that there is currently in the center is a small piece of PVC at each cross stringer to allow water to flow to the drain in the back.
  2. If I do not put foam down the center I was considering putting a hatch for storage. Do you think that is a good idea?
