Found an old Aluminum boat and thinking of restoring

You'll have to look thru a bunch of the boats listed under aluminum boats here:
FG Boat library

You'll have a lot more success if you had pix of it's interior and it's length, max width (beam) and it's transom beam

But my guess would be a Feathercraft:

yup, that rounded back is the tell-tale sign of a vintage Feathercraft. Great old boats with a bit of a cult following. You're in luck that the windshield is still intact too.

Yeah, I just grabbed the 1st FC pix I found, I don't think it's a 1955 FC Deluxe Runabout, but the barrelback style stern certainly does look like 1........

The windshield is likely pre mid-1960's and may or may not be the original windshield.

Currently, whatever awesome aluminum boat hidding under there, it's buried under a whole lot of ugly

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder, remember!

Nice thing about tin boats, doesn't take a lot to make a silk purse from a sows ear.

Oh, yeah ^^^

The ugly wouldn't keep me from dragging it home, and I can definitely see the possible AWESOME boat hidden under there.

I think JC's gotten confirmation that it's likely a Feathercraft Ranger
