primer for aluminum

ok guys quick question here I need to get a coat of primer on a mostly bare aluminum hull, some guys say just use a good all purpose primer, some say use a self etching primer, whats the best

light coat/dusting of SE primer, then a good fill/fair primer before top coat...IMHO...

Quick wipe down with acetone and the Starmada group usually uses rattle can Rustoleum Self Etching. One coat is enough if you are not doing any more "body work".

As stated. if you are looking for a "perfect" finish, after the first primer is dry, you will need a coat of "high build" primer. After it dries, a "guide coat" and long board sanding, filling, repeat, repeat, ...

thankyou guys Im not looking for a perfect finish just to look better than the house paint that was on there
