ive had a boat that I was told when I bought it that it was a 1967 sears runabout boat its red and 14 ft but it has no seats somebody tore them out I was wanting to redo them some what close to original but I cant find out much on these
I was wandering if anybody had ever had one and maybe had so old pictures or something that might help me on the rebuild
I already redid the floor last season It just needs a coat of paint this boat is very bare bones not much to it but I want to make it great and have all eyes on me at the lake
any body ever had one of these or seen one of these all I can find is two old sears ads for it which you could pick that boat or several others seems to be made by elgin but the logo on the side and the one on the stearing wheel don't seem to be elgin ill post a picture of them and the boat
any help old storys or knowledge would be great
thanks

Re: old sears red fiberglass runabout boat questions

Fiberglassics has a 1964 Sears Brochure, with a picture of a Sears 14' runabout that looks identical to yours. They had a white sears motor on the back, and what look like two white padded bench seats inside. Wise and Tempress makes folding bench seats 42" and 48" wide that might work, and would look similar, but they are not made in white. They can be purchased on iboats here. You could also fabricate your own folding bench seat and have it upholstered. You can get the hinges and vinyl here on iboats as well - just look through the links under seats.
