1992 Crownline 210 CCR Upgrading/Modernizing.

Hey guys. I'm new here, and new to boats. I purchased a 1992 Crownline 210 CCR, 454 Mercruiser with Bravo 3. This is my first boat, and I've already enjoyed several days out on the lake with friends. I'm currently in the middle of redoing the interior of the Cabin, and the Upholstery. I'll be posting some pics as soon as I get them uploaded. I've found iboats to be a valuable resource, so I figured I'd put up pics of my progress here.

Welcome AV, good luck with your new to you boat...

This is one of the few places where people enjoy drinking beer, while handling modified grinders, air hammmers, chisels, flamable liquids, toxic paints.......................ummm, and sewing machines

LOL! Yes, I've done more sewing in the last few weeks than in my entire life! haha. Wait till you see this machine though! I have a couple videos, it's pretty amazing!

okay, let the pictures commence.. I've done some work already so there will be a lot of pictures at first, but then I'll update as I do more.

What she looked like the day I bought her! She was in really good shape for being 21 years old.

Prop had some damage to the skeg, nothing major

rewired and replaced the old tired incandescent trailer lights with LED's

Some more photoshopping of a wakeboard tower, couldn't decided if I wanted reverse mounted or not.. (obviously no my boat in this pic just an internet find)

repaired the bimini top!

put in a shore powered A/C for the Cuddy (really nice when I was working on the cabin)

removed the bumper so I could start cleaning her up for the vinyl wrap

started tearing out the cabin interior

pulled out the side panels

decided the carburetor needed to be rebuilt, it wouldn't respond to any fuel or air jetting changes..

I'm not too good with carbs, so I had my dad help me (old school mechanic) haha

started rebuilding the panels

wrapping with new foam and vinyl

Started pulling the window trim so I could have it powder coated to match the new color scheme

Digitizing the new Crownline logo so I can embroider it on the new interior pieces, and use it to make new decals for the side of the boat.

Okay, did some more today and yesterday.

Started making the accent stripes/cushions for the side panel
used some vinyl that I cut on my machine as a template.

I'll have to take more pics of the panel tomorrow..

Moving on to the work that was done today..

took all the accessories off the boat, to get a clean surface to work with, had the Boat Helper help me wipe everything down with acetone.

Here she is all clean and ready for vinyl wrap!

Putting the wrap up on the boat to get size and position correct

Pealed the paper backing off and had the Boat Helper hold the vinyl in position

She had to hold it in this position until I got the majority of the rear of the boat squeegeed down! She's a REALLY good helper!

got most of the upper rear down.

Got the vinyl wrapped around the back corner (This was a PITA!!)

Starting to work forward.

Most of the top half finished, Boat helper working on the top edge.

Starting on the bottom half at the back and working forward.

and finally the bottom half done.

Going to start the other side tomorrow, this was 6 hours worth of work!

Looks like a time consuming, but fun project. Will love to see the finished product.
