You will get differing opinions. Some say the latex based glues don't hold well if the carpet repeatedly gets wet, some say it does. I am going to use WeldWood All Weather Outdoor Carpet Adhesive which is solvent based. I did some tests (in my thread) and it sticks very well. I hope to be using it in the next month or so. A lot of guys also use contact cement.
