Looks good John, it's all about the details. Is your winter ending yet? Spring started here yesterday finally.

That's a real nice find there. Nice deep 19' hull JUST before Blue Fin's went to crap. And of course the motor is a gem.

Are you going to get her into the water before project begins? Would be interested in what you thought of the boat and motor set-up. I have an outside chance to re-power my bluefin and that motor is about 100lbs and 25hp more than what came originally on mine. Any info would be appreciated. Nice score by the way!

Re: 1979 Supersport 18 V5 Rebuild

Thanks EZ, Glen bought it in Fargo ND. about 225 miles, mainly bought it for the motor want it for my starfire 190, that will be max hp for it, Lokonn I don't think I'll get a chance to to try it on the water but the po said it would do about 50 mph, I'm pretty sure I'm going to put my 2001 suzuki 140 2 stroke on it, after we rebuild it, probably try that out and I'll let you know how it does.

Nice looking new project. Good sized boat, perfect for bigger water.

Nice score on the new rig, the motor swap sounds great!

Any action on the ones you've finished & hope to send down the road soon?

I must say this is an awesome boat. Sorry to bring this up from the dead, but I noticed in the first pictures in this thread that the previous owner must have cut the side window supports. I am considering doing this to my 1977 18SS and would like to know if the window was stable enough without that brace? It always seems to get in the way when trolling and having to pass the rod around the support in order to reel the fish in. Yours is the only photo I have found on the site with that support cut off. Any comments on it?
