Repair Aluminum Rivet attached to seat

All,

While repairing my 12' aluminum boat I found a leaking rivet. However, its the same rivet that connects my seat supports. Any ideas on how to replace and reinforce? I was thinking of installing a washer on the inside. Any other ideas?

Thanks Jig,

Here are some pics, from below and above. As you can see the rivet is really worked and i can see daylight around the hole. I was thinking perhaps a screw and oversided washer, stainless steel with a nylon washer as I am in saltwater.

Yeah, stainless steel pan head screw (1/4"), stainless washers both sides, nyloc nut inside. Goop everything up with 3M 5200 marine sealant before installation, remove excess 5200 after installation.
