My winter project is complete- I wanted to keep the boat close to original, color matched LineX floor (kids love the using the boat as a diving board), full reupholster using vinyl from Canvas Plus who has the Bayliner patterns (not a complete match), 4000+ staples (I'd pay someone if I would have known), remote stereo with smart phone hook up, on board air compressor for the inflateables. All filters, fluids, and water pump replaced. We're headed to the lake.

Anyone have a cost estimate on gimbal bearing and bellows replacement? I tried to do it myself but kept running into the special tool requirements and having to work 7 days a week. When I get a break I want to use the boat and not work on it.

Never had it done, but from what I can tell, it can run anywhere from $750 - $1,500 bucks depending on the shop. You can buy the tool and do it yourself for around $300. At least that's my understanding. I'm NOT an I/O guru so maybe someone that is will come along and shoot me down!!!!:D

Got it done. Shop charged $300 and parts from sei $80. Totally worth not going through the fight of special tools and cable threading and bellows fitting.
