Glasstream boat project

My glasstream boat project,got this boat for $20 cause a tree fell on it , old owner did a real crappy repair (very ugly and was not even gripping to the boat (the fiberglass),so I'm gonna fix that, already cut straight (more neat(way neater)lines and got some supp.'s ready ill put up more pics Ina couple of minutes,tell me what you think of the boat.also re-clear coated it.

Nice looking boat. I like the red rope in the rub rail too. Will be a great rig when you get done, specially for 20 bucks. Be sure to show the po when yer done.

Thanks wolf and ill be sure to show em ha then they'll want it back!:nono: today I got some wood fiberglassed for the repair and fixed a crack in the hull,tomorrow ill post some pics, do ya think I should recarpet the deck and floor?,Thanks

Today got the first piece of wood into place and made the curvature with BONDO on front ,and on back it already had curvature so just glassed onto that

Bondo is NOT good for boats as it contains stuff in it that absorbs water over time and it is not considered structural in any way...;)...
Plus, in my experience, unless used as a very thin {less than 1/16"} filler over fiberglass, it has different properties than fiberglass and has a very high tendency towards delamination...

BTW, nice Glasstream...glad to see another one getting restored...

You got your answer in your original thread. Why did you feel it necessary to start another thread and ask the same question? You will find the members on this forum to be some of the most knowledgeable and most helpful people in the world. But you need to be as specific as you can when it comes to asking questions concerning your project and what you are wanting to accomplish. Pics are always helpful so that we can "See what you See". Do this and you WILL usually get all the answers you could possibly hope for.:biggrin1:

WOG., sorry I did not know that someone answered it in my other thread when I posted this,lately people on this forum tell me I've been doing a lot of things wrong on this website,guess I'll start to do them right or they'll kick me off. :(

yes by far epoxy is the best from what ive done and know !!!
