Some folks said they would like me to start posting some tutorials on different upholstery items, so I will start with making vinyl covered buttons

Start by cutting your material into circles...by folding it over on itself you can cut about 18 per punch, once you have the circles cut you load your die

the lower die receives the plastic snap cup

the upper die you place one vinyl circle (face down) and one button mold

push this down with a wooden dowel

then place the top die onto the bottom die and pull the handle down

you get a button like this

then you screw a snap stud into your board to hold them together

and snap the newly created button onto it

simple enough....if you do not have a machine, PM me and I can make some using your fabric

Kool Tool Alert!!! That's really neat. For those of you that want/need to make upholstery buttons, I did some searchin on the NET and found this DIY'er...http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/15mm-DIY...thing&var=&hash=item8963008124#ht_2425wt_1139
Might be worth looking into unless you want to send your business to the JUDGE!!!! Looks like he likes his new toy!!!!! When I do my next project, I think It'll have some tufted buttons so Judge will be gettin a call!!!!:D
