Welcome to iboats bud, nice looking SC! I bet an 18' tinnie will flat get w/ that 140 ;)

There's a huge SC group here, and lots of great SC resto threads here. Nice to have some pix right out of the gate! Keep 'em coming!

Just to have an easy to see big pix:

Great boat, Budski, and welcome to the Starmada. Boy that yellow color brings back memories, I looked like a yellow blob all covered with the dust when I was sanding my 18SS.

That windshield is killer! When did you start the restore? And what kind of carpet is that on the side panels!

That is going to be a sweet boat.

Started late August, Side rod lockers and storage are marine vinal and marine carpet, had a 2003 Lund fisherman 1700 sold that going to clone this Starcraft to it.

Everything lools great. Do you have any more specifics on the carpet, brand, color?

Also, how much clearance between the hatch door and hatch opening so they close when wrapped in carpet? I'm doing mine this weekend.

Thanks.

Thank you, yes love that hull, had one back in 1979 except with an IO, prefer a OB wrote it off, been looking for another one for 5 years, finally found 1 in Minneapolis MN, didn't want the 100 1979 Johnson, so re powered it with the max for this boat 2002 140 Suzuki, also didn't like the trailer so bought a pretty new ez loader bunk trailer, then towed it all back to Winnipeg MB where I live.

Not quite sure I think about 1/4 inch, wrapped the carpet around the hatch door to test before I applied it worked out OK a little snug but it'll wear in I hope. the carpet is marine grade not sure of the brand or color just grey got it at marine dealer, the vinal is also marine grade got it at a fabric shop

Thanks got the hatch latches at a marine dealer, they are pricy but add a great finishing touch, about $25.00 each

Wow, that looks comfortable. I'd almost want a slow day of fishing for an excuse to lay down and take a nap on all that!:D

Anyone out there familiar with interlux boat paint was thinking of repainting my boat myself, apparently you can either roll it on or spray it on, I would appreciate some input on this paint Thanks

Do an advanced search from the resto forum homepage for: Interlux

You should get LOTS of hits

Should be 500+ thread references
