Hello everyone, I started this thread in a different section, but I want to post it here since its more specific.

I have an 88 sun runner weekender and lately it has been building up with mold/ mildew all along the stern of the boat. I already cleaned it up once with bleach, but it's back again. What is causing the growth and how do I stop it? Thanks in advance. Its not covered. Open Air. It hasn't been in the water since I bought it a year ago. The buildup is almost everywhere on the boat, but mainly at the stern.

How do I tackle this issue?

Thanks

Looks like you need to Compound your boat ( Buff it out properly ).

Call it $20/ft for the deck .. and $10-15 for the hull sides .. Acid wash or Snow bowl the bottom.

Calculate as needed and thats where your gonna be at.

How do I go about covering holes left from old screws and bolts? It seems like I am going to end up sanding this thing first.

Why do say that ? Buffing will probably do it.

Its just not easy to buff properly.. thats why everyone buys the 'magic stuff'.
