Hi all,

I just ordered a Springfield pedestal seat kit that comes with a 9" round base. This is the base that comes with the kit.

I want to mount the seat now but I will be rebuilding my deck at the end of the season. For now I need to install the base with the deck on the boat. I was planning on using toggle bolts but I am not sure of the size. I saw some for sale here on iBoats and they are 1/4-20.

Does anybody know if that is the size that I need?

Thanks,
Mark

1/4-20 are fine, that's what I used on my round pedestal bases... but I used "T"-nuts under the deck.

If your deck is fastened through the carpet it's easy to remove and the T-nuts are easy to install. Toggles can be a real PITA sometimes, but when you gotta use them they do a good job.

When you install them permanently use the 1/4-20 oval head bolts for a good looking factory install.
