  • Sea King 12-ft Fiberglass Capacity Plate

I've lost the certification / capacity plate from the transom of my 1972 Montgomery Ward Sea King boat - 12'-3" fiberglass V-hull - and want to replace it with an accurate reproduction. Recollection is 6 persons or 650 +/- lbs, 12 hp capacities. Does anyone out there have the same and can send a photograph of the plate or at least provide relevant data? Many thanks.

Re: Sea King 12-ft Fiberglass Capacity Plate

My sea king is titled as a 14 foot, similar to your boat, and the capacity tag says as follows:

    Hp Rating 50hp
6 persons at 150 lbs each or 900 lbs total capacity including motor, persons and gear.

It is read with aluminum letters and stamped data, including model number and serial number

Thanks. I remember my plate being aluminum with red border and stamped capacity data.
