I'm slowly Restoring my 1980 Chaparral 194. I picked up a back to back seat in great shape but without a base from a buddy and I was going to do the back to back on one side and my swivel seat on the other. I've looked and looked and can't find any how to's on how to go about building a base for it. Any ideas?

Also, I did find a thread on taking a back to back and making two separate seats from it. If anyone has any ideas on a seat base to do that I'm open to that as well.

Post some pics of what you got and we'll be able to help you a lot better. What's the measurement from your deck to the top of the gunwales? What's the measurement from the base to the top of the seat?

There are some pics on my link from about page 9-12 but checkout the pics on the Veada site as they had some dimensions, etc on their site as well.
