Currently resealing the topside permanent windows in the v-berth due to leakage. I have removed the windows and cleaned them as well as the window seating. I have been told that it's hard to find the rubber that sits between the window and the window seat, which seemed to be very thin. I have found an 1/8" rubber stripping that seems to be very similar. If this is adequate, where do I go from here? I am concerned about the placement of the rubber stripping...should it be in line with the window, or should it exceed the window dimensions and go to the ends of the window seat before caulking?
