I'm with a Boy Scout Troop that has 4 Aluminum Canoes. Although they are in great shape for the most part, the foam in the bow and stern of the canoes has been chewed up and destroyed by ants. We would like to repair the canoes without spending a small fortune, however I'm not sure what I should be looking for as a replacement.
the bow and stern are enclosed, so we will be cutting 3" holes in the top to clear the remaining mess and put the new foam in. Then seal the holes back up. I just don't know what to look for.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
