Thinking of making an aluminum pipe rail for the bow of my boat. Boat is a 16ft lowe line deep v. I want it to be removable and possibly height
adjustable.. I mainly want it so someone can stand on the bow and have something to hold on to while cruising the lake. Many of the lakes down
here in Texas are so low, the stumps are really exposed, making the lake more dangerous than it usually is. It is really nice to have a buddy stand
up front and scout for stumps. I'm curious if there is anything major I need to take into account. Wondering if anyone has pictures of something
similar on their boat. I'm planning on using 3/4" or 1" schedule 40 aluminum pipe. It will all be tig welded, and then slid into some slightly larger
pipe mounts with bolts threaded through to tighten down to hold it in place. Any other ideas or thoughts are welcome.
