this is probably a dumb question but I was sanding and teaking my steps on back of my boat this weekend and some of the oil got on the fiberglass. 24 hours later it's still shiny, made the area look like new. What if I wiped the whole boat down in teak oil? does it ever dry? would the sun/water dry it up and just look like old again? i'm sure the glass is porous and the oil is penetrating it for now. it's chalked up over the years and I plan to have it wet sanded this spring but couldn't believe the difference it made and just wondered if anyone else has ever coated their boat in teak oil?

Old trick..... people even used penetrol for the same effect. It is a short term thing........ I would ignore it and compound/wax the hull.
