Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 156SS re-carpet and deck repair

Well im not a pro but i think its coming along good so far. I will add more pics as I go along. I cut the bow open more past the windsheild and im recarpeting the whole boat. Now I can walk thru the windshield area easy to get to the bow. I also re decked the front w/ new wood and had to cut the compartment doors out. They need hinges still. New pads are being made for it. I have a little bit of deck repair under the drivers seat, then I can carpet the middle of the boat. The stain you see is just a wet spot from removing the cover. Blue carpet w/ grey pads. What do you think so far? The last pic is from a couple years ago.

I now have the bad spot cut from the deck. I am going to use a 1/2 treated ply for the repair. The stringers look good but the foam does have some moisture. For this year I am going to just patch the deck and get a couple outings w/ it. Next year I plan to half the boat and put new foam and a new deck on. Also check the stringers and fix if need be. Ill post some more pics sunday. That will be the next time I get a chance to work on it. Im also giving the treated wood a chance to dry out. I plan on glassing it after I put it in. After that I can build a new seat base and finish the new carpet in the middle. I may just catch a few weekends of this summer still.

quick pic. of the deck cut out. I had to cut into the deck locker. I will cut the shape back in when I replace the piece of wood.

The wood is replaced w/ 1/2 inch treated ply and glassed around the seams. The stringers were holding it down w/ the new screws(no rot). The ski locker trim fit in the new cut wood, that was a plus. I decided my pads were taking to long so i started them myself. I used 1/4 inch plywood, new foam, and new vinyl. I am not sewing them, just snipping the back, stretching, and staple them to the back of the new wood. I have two done and they look nice. I have all the stuff cut out for the rest of them. Now all that I need to finish is the main middle carpet and a new seat base. And install the new pads. They go in easy w/ button snaps and screws. I need to buy the matching snaps to the new vinyl still. Ill post up a couple more pics when I go home for lunch.

Sorry the pics suck, I will get better ones when Its done and all cleaned up. It will look alot better w/ the new carpet. This floor is rock solid now. Before it would crack and feel soft. Now I can jump on the foor w/ no prob.. One of the pads is in the pics, it is one of the smaller ones.
