Fiberglass supplies for canadians?

Seems like i have been searching for weeks to find the same prices you Americans are getting your resin and glass for. just wondering where other Canadian DIY'ers are getting there supplies from. if i order from my southern brothers (if they allow it) it seems that the shipping and duty kills the price but i might just have to suck it up. supplies are pretty scarce in the middle of the prairies of Saskatchewan

anything else i can get is at least 50$ a gallon. Just not sure when it was produced so i don't know how long its been on the shelf. I asked them when it came into there inventory and they didn't know said i should call there inventory manager in the morning, which i will. any of you guys use this type before and if you have how is it. thanks in advance

I buy mine at my local marine store. Very pricey for sure. Now U.S. Composites has really good prices. Check them out. I normally use epoxy resin which costs me 102 dollars a gallon and another 40 for the hardner. I can get it from the U.S for about 30 dollars cheaper, delivered. How sad is that. But then I buy most things from the states.

I ordered my 8 pound 2 part foam from us composites and it was only 94 bucks shipping and duty. There is a good place here in Calgary, Industrial paint and plastic. The prices are pretty good for around here and they always have things in stock which is a rarity in calgary.

Not sure where you are located but I tired various supplies in Alberta but couldn't find any reasonably priced. I ended up going to Kelowna, BC to IPS Industrial Distributors and got a great deal - shipping was even cheaper than shipping form Edmonton or Calgary to Grande Prairie - go figure...

Boatcraft here in Edmonton stocks West and East Systems epoxies as well as all your glass supplies. They can also order in anything in you can find in a catalog and don' charge extra shipping.

The epoxy wasn't the cheapest so for the next big project I might look at IPS but e-mail for a quote anyway. The guy is pretty easy to deal with...

When I was doing my project I found a local company that makes fiberglass trailers for motorcycles. Talked to the guy and got all the glass and resin I needed to do transom and floor for 150 bucks. Check around for companies that use fiberglass they will have 50 gal drums of resin and all the cloth/mat you will need.
