I have a '78 Sailfish 16'. It's got some damages as you can see. Photos are of the keel and port underside (first photo). I don't have any tools to make repairs. I just want to patch her up and take her boating. I've been researching my options and was wondering how you veterans feel about using marine tex to make the fixes. What are the pros/cons to using marine-tex for my scenario. I don't think I care about the mismatch in color.

You can always just roll on a couple coats of gel and leave it.
