Anyone ever built a captain's chair from scratch?

I want a pair of captain's chair's like some newer model boats have in my boat. They have a semi open back, are curved and also want a bolster. (Hope this is the correct term, the thing you sit on to raise you up some.). Just wondered if anyone had ever built one. I'm somewhat of a carpenter, but this isn't exactly building a house or porch.

here, here. i too would like captains chairs for my boat, but i'm not willing to pay $400 a peice for them. I'd like to see what others have made. sorry i don't have the answer, but someone has to have done this before. this is not a new concept.
