Hello. Today I removed a broken windshield from my 1965 Formula. The weatherstripping came out fairly easy but will not be able to be re-used. My plan is to replace with the same thickness plexi-glass. Can anyone tell me where to get the replacement gasket and what your thoughts are regarding the plexi or lexon. Thank you

i have used Lexan several times and loved it. hit a window repair, glass shop. they use the same stuff on aluminum windows and sliding glass doors.

Re: Windshield replacement

Thank you. Today I found out a couple of things. First it appears that I can not get the same thickness or tint color. The material has to be purchased in a full 4x8 sheet and then the labor to cut it. Because they wont match all 4 windows should be done so it doesnt look like Jethro Bodines boat. I brought in the weatherstripping to a marine place today and nobody had seen it before. My current plan is a thin layer of silicone on the frame side and caulking in the outside with a white marine urethane caulking. Thank you.
