fiberglass repair kits from walmart

how thick is the fiberglass cloth in the kit. i have a kit my dad gave me when he heard i was working on my boat. wondering if it is good for anything structual.

I've got a lot of those packets laying around. It's pretty thin stuff, generally designed for patching. I wouldn't rely on it for much other than small repairs, which is what it is designed for. To get real strength, you'll need quite a few layers of it.

I would think you would need more then that.

I have been using for almost thirty years they have everything you need to do boat repair
