5200 or putty

I am rebuilding a flats boat and would love some opinions on bonding the deck stringers to the floor and bonding the deck to the hull. I have a supply of polybond putty which is mixed with hardner, it would cure hard and totally unflexible. I also have some tubes of 5200. I was planning on using some 4" 1708 tape on all the seams. Any thoughts?

PL construction 100% polyurethane, comes in a caulking tube, great underrated product. easy to work with, no mixing. available at lowes, and HD.
