I am currently redoing the boat and looking for just the molded plastic base for the two jump seats. I would rather use that then wood, any ideas as to where to get just the molded base?

Thank you

Try looking at some of the Step-two or little tikes plastic stuff, even in the kids playground stuff, heck if it's just a base your looking for there's all kinds of options, how about a milk crate, with an artistic touch could be cool, or you could just look at a marine cataloge and pay some $$$$ for something.

Re: Jump seat molded base

hey tech....

welcome to i boats :):)

this is a fantastic place for everything boating.
the people here are really "up on their stuff"...(cept me)
there are veteran mechanics, naval archetects, fiberglass specialists, and electrical pros.
this is just to name a few....
when you have a question try the search button...just about any question you want to ask has been discuessed in great detail here.
its also a good idea to review the rules every once in a while

try i boats store....

but since all jump seats are "boat specific"

the above post from 70 is a great idea.

if you want a "finished" look
why not build your own out of fiberglass??
its not tough...takes a few hours....a little reading...a little fabrication...
and poof!!!! exactally what you want...lookin all puurty !

need help fabbing??? or about glass???
restoration/building forum

cheers

Re: Jump seat molded base

my problem with the plastic base, is the have a tendency to be used as steps. there is a lot of force, when stepping of a dock on to the seat.
