need advise on how to repair rot in the stern on fiberglass boat

hi -we just purchased a used 1985 bayliner with a volvo inboard motor its an aq 125 (270 out drive) and were debaiting whether to keep it or resell it the stern needs to be replaced because of dry-rot and its overheating - the bellows are also leakingand I need some help on replacing the stern if im going to keep it -i paid 2500.00 for the boat and I havent even been able to use it -i dont even know if it would be worth it to invest any more money in it to fix it -what do u think

Welcome to iboats.....
Well for thr transom fix, you should post on the restoration forum....
But......
I would not put a nickel into a 22 year old Bayliner with a rotten transom.......
The drive & engine might recoup some of your losses if ya part it out.....IMHO;)

If you decide to restore the transom, have a look at the Sticky on Seacast in this section. I'll be casting one in mine this week.
