I currently have a '85 16' Smokercraft Magnum 161, but I have the itch for a project boat to upgrade to later on.
Tomorrow I am looking at at 1984 19' Sea Nymph Striper 191 with 115 mercury from Craigslist for $2500. Owner says it has been sitting for a year or two and the floor paint it flaking, He said the transom was checked recently by a local marina it got the ok. Trailer is supposed to be in good shape. Engine ran when it was out.
My end goal is the get this boat in top shape and then sell the motor and the Smokercraft towards a new Yamaha, probably half the power.
What do people think? Good price if the bones are good? I expect to redo the floor and saw a '85 restoration project on here that walked through that and a transom replacement.
