Hey everyone, I'm putting a flat floor in my tin boat. I'm planning on 3/4" PT or marine ply covered with marine carpet, or better yet, textured vinyl. I am looking for ideas as how to fasten the floor down but also hopefully without a ton of screws and cup washers everywhere. I'd like to make this a clean, pro looking installation, by wrapping the board edges with the flooring for a clean look. The floor needs to be well fastened because it has to secure down all the styro SM I'm putting beneath for flotation.

I may also opt to cover the insides above the floor with the same stuff, or carpet...wondering if doing this after the floor is done will help hide fasteners (but then, how do I adhere the side panels?

Thoughts on side panels? apply to thin ply & attach? Apply directly to the hull sides with adhesive?
