Nice boat - permission to come aboard

Speak, the more the merrier!!

ATX, Ive always had a weakness for the Glastrons...My opinion, the best hulls out there. They have been copied many, many, times by other manufacturers.

Good reasons for always covering your boat..... Started with these pieces because they are more than just cosmetic. Admirals seat and the side pieces that the wind screen supports mount on.

Not sure why you're replacing the Seat bases??? They look perfectly fine to me!!!!:D;)
That Old Timers Formula is PURE JUNK!!! Can't believe you're gunna risk your boats life on that stuff!!!! Are you SURE you've done boat restoration work before???

Oh, by the way... I didn't take my medicine today!!!!!:faint2:

I'm with Wood, the old seats look fine to me. And storing a boat outside with out a cover is fine, they are made for water........ :bounce:

Ya know you would think that seat bases would last longer .. The tops are wrapped in vinyl and somewhat water resistant ..And looks like even with those it had some plastic over the foam ..
Is the side that faces the foam as rotted as the bottom that's exposed to the elements ? I guess water rolls under the covering and just travels and weeps upward into the wood .. Just seems it should last longer ... :noidea:

Well even though it wasn't sealed properly, it DID last 25 years. IMHO that's not too shabby!!!:D Cordell's just being picky. He could dry em out with a Hair Dryer and then slap some blue paint on em and they'd be good as new. Well...Almost!!!!:faint2:

I wanted to back the boat in and run it under load. Checking for any abnormalities.started right up, ran 40 psi oil pressure. stabilized at 150 deg temp. No strange noised from the out drive.... shifts in and out with no grinding. cables are a bit stiff, but last time it was on the water was 2015. Successful initial water trial.
