Done some measuring and cutting today. Glad that I did this. I cutted the deck in 2 pieces. the front piece is out. Furder up front is no wood or stringer in it. Rear half is for the next time. When that is removed then I'm able to cut the stingers.

Great start. Now you get to see what some of the issues are. Keep up with it.

a few days later.
Removed the screen because of the damage of the wood.

Question now is how to replace the screen. I was thinking of using a thinner plywood and put polyester on it.

Other tips or tricks??
Also bought an engine but I will start a new topic on that.

Screen? What screen? I cant tell what that is in the pix, even zoomed in and looking around...

If you use polyester resin on a thin piece of plywood to remake the screen (no matter what it is) you must use cloth, CSM or a biaxial 1708 as wel. Which depends on what its going on, how that part is used and where on the boat it'll end up. But it must have finerglass of some sort. Otherwise the poly resin will fail. Esp on a thin flexible piece of ply.

Yeah I was lost too when you said screen. Is it made out of wood? Cut a new one out with your pattern and glass it. Hard to tell what I'm looking at by the pictures.

It's a while but did some work. The stringers are new and the deck is back in it. Before I put new wood on it I was thinking of foaming the bodem.
I use PU foam for this?
2nd question is about the tank. It is in front. I want to be sure that it is clean but don't how to clean when it is still in the hull. I pics before you can see where the tank is. Should I cut it out or can I do it another way?
