1983 Sea Ray Seville Restoration Begins

Typical original vinyl on rear deck cover removed. Foam in pretty good shape. Sanded, repainted exposed wood. Little to no rot. Old chromed pot metal cleats being replaced with larger polished stainless.

I just got a 1987 Seville in red. It look almost exactly like yours. I am excited to see how yours turns out.

hey before you tear the impeller down check thermostat I had one stuck on a 3 litlre ran fine in driveway soon as I hit water started over heating it was totally rust covered keeping it from opening, all I did was cleaned off rust with clr pot checked to see it opened smoothly at 140 and bam I was good to go .

mickyryan Those cheap/free fixes like that are nice when you can pull them off. IMHO you seem to get a better sense of satisfaction from a repair like that vs just chucking the old part in the trash and buying a new one.
