What fiberglass weight?

What weight fiberglass should I use for tabbing in and sealing replacement stringers. There is a lot of information on the internet but I find a lot of conflicting ideas. I will be using polyester resin.

Short answer is 1708 Biaxial Fabric. 2 layers.

Like WOG stated, most use 1708 bi-axial material with 435 polyester resin. And that number actually represents double bias woven fiberglass cloth stitched at 45 degrees, weighting 17 oz per yard and a CSM (Chopped Strand Mat) material weighting at 3/4 oz sewn onto the 17 oz cloth. Hence the name bi-axial. JMHO
