Seaswirl tri hull transom rebuild

Good morning all.
I'm new to the forum and hope to ask for help in planning out the transom replacement project on my 1971 Seaswirl Tri Hull. The boat needs a new transom for sure and probably more.
The challenge to start with is figuring out how to attack it. The upper hull of the boat has been glassed to the lower hull so I'm not sure I want to cut it loose all the way around the hull so as to allow me to remove top portion.
What do you think about just removing the upper hull just forward of the splash well. :joyous:
