How much cooling water from a 3 hp Sea King?

Was given a non-running 60 year old 3 hp Sea King. Cleaned it up a bit and now it runs fine. However, I presume the cooling water is supposed to discharge through the exhaust. I'm getting very little water coming out. I let it run for perhaps five minutes in the tank and it was still running nicely when I shut it down. The cylinder was too hot to touch at that time. Is is possible that after 60 years it could be in need of a new impeller? If so, where might I find one (it is a Gale model)? Is it difficult to replace? I've got nothing to do but play with things like that.

Ok,.. So with no replies for you I'll say something. At 60 yrs it's not a bad idea to check the impeller regardless. Sorry to say, off the top of my head I don't know where it is on that engine. I'd suggest suggest posing the question over at the Antique Outboard Collectors Club. Must be someone there who knows. Nice little outboard you have.
