Hi I have a Shetland 535 and at some stage of its life the transom has been cut down presumably to take a short shaft.I want to put it back to how it was .Does anybody know or any Shetland owners know what the measurement should be from the top of the transom to the keel please. Thanks in advance julian

For a Long Shaft Motor this drawing will give you the proper Transom Height.

Thanks for that ,very helpfull. My mate has built the transom up for me and is now 20" high.I have an aluminum strengthening plate over it which adds another6mm on top.Do you think this will be alright for my long shaft as I was told the capitation plate should be at least. 1" under the keel .Regards julian
