heres a pic of the windshield frame i'm getting and I tried to start the engine before I pull it out and there was no compression in the 3 first cylinders so I pulled the head and there was 3 stuck valves!!!!! broke 2 of them trying to un stick them, I'm pretty sure I'm going to put a modern engine in it

Too bad about the valves (they can be stubborn). The stems can probably be coaxed out with some heat and time. Even if you go with a new engine I wouldn't scrap that one. Someone could probably use it. ... Sort of interesting that someone put an alternator on it, most likely had a generator originally.

I'm not going to scrap it, I'll stick a modern one in to get me on the water and eventually fix the old Buchanan
