I'm looking at a 1986 boston whaler montauk 17. It's been sitting on the side of a friend of a friends house unused since 2008. Motor is a 90hp johnson 1990 vro outboard that overheated in 08' which is why it's sat for so long. I'm told it runs, but runs rough and overheats, so I'm assuming it's bad and have been looking into repower options. But my bigger concern is all of the millions of little cracks in the fiberglass on the inside walls of boat. The boat seems solid, I rocked the motor back and fourth pretty hard and transom does not flex at all, no soft spots in the floors. It's just filthy from sitting outside uncovered. I've included the best picture I can get to upload.

Should I be concerned about all of the sidereal cracks? Is this common on whalers? I've never owned one.

I meant to say spidercracks. Not sidereal cracks. I found some more on the outside of the hull, but there not as bad as on the inside.

Ayuh,... Looks more like sun rot, rather than stress cracks,.....
